An experimental pill may promise new hope for women with relapsing inflammatory breast cancer, a rare but lethal form of breast cancer that cannot be helped by other treatments.

The pill, Tykerb, attaches itself to two proteins, HER2 and EGFR, which stimulate cancer cells to proliferate and metastasize. The Tykerb blocks the proteins, which slows or stops the growth of cancer tumor cells.
